Blue Skies works to gather data about poverty and related topics for our service area. In our region the counties we serve are often over-looked and under-funded so this is a particular area we're passionate about!
In 2023 Blue Skies Mutual Aid commissioned a poverty report over Gaines County, Texas, our home county. We instructed an online researcher to gather as much data about poverty-related topics as he could find over just Gaines County. These are the results. This project revealed a great need to collect data in our area so we can see where the needs are, what programs and assistance is working, and other important data points.
