Our Mission
It is the mission of Blue Skies Mutual Aid to promote harm reduction and alleviate poverty, suffering, and inequity in all forms through local mutual aid efforts.
In the long term, the goals of Blue Skies are to make poverty as short-lived as possible for everyone that finds themselves in a harmful situation and to change the culture of Gaines County, Texas to one that encourages empathy, second chances, and equitable treatment and opportunities for all.
“What can Blue Skies help with?”
Currently, we can help with looking for employment and housing, with non-perishable food, and with gently-used clothing, furniture, toys, and home goods.

“How can I help?”
Blue Skies needs three things to continue fulfilling our mission of eliminating poverty: Funds, Items, and You!
1) Funds: Every dollar counts to maintain our behind-the-scenes operations that keep the gears of Blue Skies turning. Please donate whatever you can through PayPal or Stripe (including Google Pay, Apple Pay, or direct debit). You can also text DONATEBLUE to 44-321 to donate!
2) Items: We need various items that are in high demand for those with low income in Gaines County. You can help by donating non-perishable food, gently-used clothing, furniture, toys, and home goods, or by purchasing anything from our Amazon Wish-List. All donations stay in your local community!
